There was so much in my ears and in my environment as I made this: drones, difference tones, modular synthesis, what the southeast Minnesota sky looks like at dusk. More than all that, though, I'm trying in this long-form song to account for this weird simultaneity I kept coming back to at the time, holding sorrow and gratitude together and then, maybe, finding ways in which they depend on each other.
